Major site to see in Amarkantak
1-Sunrise point/Sonmuda
Beautifull place where you can enjoy beauty of nature it is place of origin of son river and view point of rising sun.from this place rising sun looks like that sun rising from mountain.Rising time of sun depend upon season it's recomnded that reach this point around 4:30 o'clock if still not rise sun enjoy weather and wait for sun.
2-kapil dhara
Water falls from 25 feet height.It is first waterfall from narmda river.can take bath in this waterfall.Around this waterfall beautifull seen of forest also can take photograph.
3-Dhudh dhara
In just ahead half kilometer down of kapil dhara there is dhudh dhara this water fall not fall from too much height just fall from 10 to 12 feet.Very beautifull place for enjoying, beside this waterfall there's durvasa caves, according to Mythology durvasa rishi was meditated here.
4-Narmada River origin temple
Inside temple there are small pond from where narmda river originate.in this temple an small elephant which is Attraction of this temple its recognition that who successfully overpass among elephant leg consider good
5-Ancient temple of culturi period
This temple was made by culturi maharaj karndev in 1042 -1072AD.
NOTE FOR TOURIST 1:–
Apart from above mention place there are and more place to visit in amarakntak like Mai ki bagiya,kabir chabutra,kalyan ashram , trimurti temple etc.BUT above mention place 1-5 is mostly visite by tourist if you left time apart from covering top 5 place then you can visit.
Note 2:–
1-whenever you go amarakntak firstly visit sunrise point then go for kapil dhara and enjoy the beautifull sight and can take bath in kapil dhara.
2-Then go to narmada origin temple then go for culturi temple and come again in kapil dhara till evening(4pm) see again kapil dhara with more crowed and go for dhudh dhara(in evening generally crowed more and atmosphere sunny and can give relax to body of entire day tireness.)
